In the ever-evolving world of e-commerce, staying ahead of the curve is crucial for success. Our latest blog post is your guide to the hottest trends, essential updates, and game-changing features you should integrate into your online store this September. From enhancing user experiences to optimizing conversion rates, we’ve got you covered with strategies and tools that will elevate your e-commerce performance and keep you on the cutting edge of the digital retail landscape.

Q4 is here, and the insights and innovations we’re about to share can make a real difference in your online business:

- Shopify One Page Check out:

They’re moving from a 3-page checkout process to one simple page. This is a big deal. Faster, easier simpler = better (ROAS, CR, etc.). Shopify is shipping updates and new features very often lately, and this is just one of them.

Shopify AR Tool For Product Previews:

Harley Finkelstein said about this incredible new feature: “Today, with the release of #iOS17, we’re making it possible for all our merchants to create 3D models from the palm of their hand in under 20 mins.”

This is a game-changer. No more expensive cameras, software, or long processes. We’ve seen for some time now this move towards interactive shopping experiences (i.e. see Drake’s Shopify Store here). Now you can add this tool to your site at basically no cost.

Shopify Audiences:

Now you can expand your customer base and reduce Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) by as much as 50% on leading advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and more using personalized audience lists and exclusive insights accessible solely through Shopify.

This feature has been around for a couple of months but they keep improving it. We love it and it makes our job SO much easier since it’s a great complement to our unique, great, ad creatives and content creation.

Product Sticky Bars:

When it comes to new trends in web design, we love these sticky product bars under the nav bar on product pages. They allow you to easily navigate the page, have the relevant information always visible, and have the Add to Cart button always at reach. We’ve seen companies such as Simple Modern, Rad Power, and others update their product page design to incorporate this feature.

As you can see in the image above, we designed and developed the Hollywood Racks website earlier this year with a sticky product bar as well. Our client had the great idea to add the ‘Find a Retailer’ button next to the ‘add to cart’ to give the user the ability to choose their most convenient way to shop. We absolutely LOVE it when clients put their user experience above the website conversion rate. We believe — and as the study shows — that users have different shopping routines and you need to accommodate them and not the other way around. Give them all the options, at the end of the day, a sale is a sale, and your retailers will appreciate all the sales and traffic you direct to them.

Recommended Categories and Products on the Search Page:

Let’s admit it, sometimes, the client doesn’t really know what they want or what they really need. By adding a visual map on the search page with popular categories, best-selling products, images, and more, what you’re doing is guiding them toward high-converting products. You may not know what they really want, but you know which of your products they will LOVE. Send them there.

This is a great example here but Simple Modern. They have a lot of products and that may be overwhelming sometimes. They are always directing the user to the next step on the customer journey.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Holidays Content Creation:

This is no secret: This time of year is indisputably the most lucrative for e-commerce businesses, with consistently high sales figures during the holiday season. It’s the opportune moment to fine-tune your approach and maximize your profitability. And yes, you will be okay and your sales will increase but, will you be taking the most advantage of this situation? Will you tap into all the potential your brand has? In order to achieve this, there is only one clear strategy:

  1. Irresistible Offer: Create a compelling offer that gives users a strong reason to click on your ads and engage with your brand. A unique product, a discount, etc.
  2. Omnichannel Outreach: Extend your reach during the holiday season by connecting with potential customers across various digital and physical touchpoints to maximize your exposure and sales potential.
  3. Tailored Content: Develop unique and seasonally relevant content across all customer touchpoints to captivate your audience and drive conversions during the year-end sales rush.
  4. Conversion-Optimized Website: Homepages and landing pages designed to get the user out of there and onto the next page as fast as possible. Ensure your website is fine-tuned for high conversions, with user-friendly design and persuasive elements that drive sales and engagement throughout the holiday shopping period.

Engaging your audience with high-quality, seasonally relevant content that resonates will be the key to your success. Our results-driven approach and extensive experience empower us to deliver tangible results.
